No need for air conditioning! 1/10 of your electricity bill! Water-cooled well water cooler using groundwater heat that utilizes renewable energy

Is this summer going to be extremely hot? Are your employees and production facilities safe?

On February 23rd, the Ministry of the Environment announced its heat forecast for this summer. As of now, it is expected to be hot all over the country. More than usual, it seems that measures to prevent heatstroke and improve the working environment for employees, measures to prevent overheating of factory equipment, and peak cuts in air conditioning will become more important. If the environment is improved, investment in air conditioning equipment and electricity bills will increase, and if it is not improved, it will affect employee satisfaction and productivity. It's a double-edged sword.

Well water coolers solve the problem! They use renewable energy, so capital investment and electricity bills are kept to a minimum!

We have commercialized a "groundwater direct cooler" that utilizes well water and uses groundwater heat, a renewable energy source. This has a simple structure in which groundwater is passed through a dedicated coil and cooled by blowing air over the coil with a fan. As long as there is well water (groundwater), no outdoor unit is required, and the electricity bill is about the same as that of a ventilation fan. The introduction cost is cheaper than that of an air conditioner, and the electricity bill is less than 1/10. Although it is only for cooling, if the conditions are right, it is an ideal well water cooler that utilizes groundwater resources.

Example of well water cooler installation

Comparison of installation and running costs at a certain location (vs. commercial air conditioners)

Water-cooled air conditioners were used in the past. Why did they fall out of use?

During Japan's period of rapid economic growth, well water coolers were actually not at all uncommon. Because they cooled so well, they were used in factories and even in homes, and were called water-cooled air conditioners. However, they are not seen very often these days. They fell out of use due to scaling caused by the quality of the groundwater. If well water was used as a cooler, scaling would be unavoidable, and it would eventually corrode. Well water coolers were difficult machines to use, and were gradually replaced by today's air-cooled air conditioners.

Making groundwater thermal energy a renewable energy source available to more people

We have been developing various technologies and making breakthroughs to solve the scaling problem and enable more people to enjoy the benefits of well water coolers.

1. Free groundwater status survey and guarantee

We utilize our experience and know-how gained from many years of working on making groundwater potable, and even for facilities that have never had a well before, we can carry out a free water source survey and propose a set of air conditioners and wells, which we can even guarantee. This is a service that minimizes the burden and risk for those considering this.

2. The adoption of a highly durable heat exchanger and catalytic filter technology enables direct use of groundwater

Our groundwater coolers have improved corrosion resistance in the coil body and use filters with catalytic technology that is patented in eight countries around the world, significantly improving durability against scaling, which was previously an issue.

Groundwater coolers are used for a variety of purposes

Existing wells can be used. Unexpected by-products!

If there is an existing well, it is possible to repurpose or share the groundwater from that well. As a by-product, the well water will be warmed by about 5 to 10 degrees Celsius when used in the cooler, so if well water is used for boiler make-up water, it will also contribute to reducing fuel costs.

If you want to get the most out of the least amount of well water, choose the evaporative cooling type.

If you want to achieve a larger airflow with a minimum amount of water and further reduce costs, we also recommend a well water cooler with an evaporative cooling system. With this model, water and air come into direct contact with each other, so heat exchange is possible with a smaller amount of water, and the double cooling effect with evaporative cooling allows for extremely efficient cooling.
The cost of the equipment is small, the only drawback is that humidity increases. If this is acceptable or welcomed, we highly recommend it.

Large air volume type, clean room specification, explosion-proof type, and other types are available for all conditions.

We have a lineup of models to suit a variety of sites, including large air volume models, SUS corrosion-resistant models, explosion-proof models, clean room models, and duct connection models. Outdoor installation is also possible.

Please consider it before it gets too hot.

As summer approaches, the number of orders increases every year, and we are running out of time for delivery. We would appreciate your consideration of your order as soon as possible.
