Chapter 3: Grandmother's Warmth 

When I talk about my childhood, 
The presence of a grandmother is indispensable. 

My grandmother was a very kind person. 
He was also a man with the strength to quietly support others. 

One night when I was suffering from childhood asthma, 
My grandmother was always there for me. 

When you're in pain and can't breathe, 
My grandmother silently stroked my back and said, 
He said in a quiet voice: 

"It's okay." 

There was a strange sense of relief in those words. 

I had difficulty breathing many times during the night, 
There were times when I couldn't sleep. 

Still, my grandmother 
He never once showed any signs of displeasure. 

Just quietly snuggle up together, 
He stayed by my side until I calmed down. 

My grandmother's hands were warm. 

It was a small hand, 
When I touch your hand, 
For some reason, I felt at ease. 

The reason I'm alive now is 
I sometimes think it's thanks to my grandmother. 

My grandmother's family was by no means wealthy. 
In fact, I don't think life was easy at all. 

Still, my grandmother 
She raised my sister and me with care. 

Prepare the meal, 
Send them off to school, 
It supported my daily life. 

There was nothing special about it. 

But in that everyday life, 
There was definite love. 

My grandmother wasn't much of a talker. 
He never lectured me about life. 

just, 
In our daily lives, 
He quietly taught me how to be a person. 

To be kind to people. 
To help people in need. 
Don't forget to be grateful. 

They are not words, 
It was something that came through my grandmother's way of life. 

Even as a child, 
I had a lot of respect for my grandmother. 

And now I think. 

In a person's life, 
There are some big encounters. 

Meeting my grandmother, 
In my life 
It might have been one of the biggest. 

If I didn't have a grandmother, 
I might not have survived this long. 

The warmth of my grandmother, 
It still remains deep in my heart. 

And that warmth, 
In the long journey of life, 
It continues to quietly support me.
